August 27: Books I’ve Read That I’d Like In My Personal Library (perhaps you checked it out, borrowed it from a friend, received it for review, etc. and want to own it yourself.) (Submitted by Annemieke @ A Dance with Books)

My list includes a lot of audiobooks because I have listened to several books over the past few years by incredible narrators and would LOVE to own the audio versions of these books!

10. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and narrated by Will Patton. To think I almost gave up on this wonderful series until I tried the audio version!

9. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson. From the same author who wrote An Enchantment of Ravens, this is truly a magical story. My review at Goodreads.

8. Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett. I received an ARC of this one through Netgalley and intend to add a physical copy to my collection. My review at Goodreads.

7. Nimona by Noelle Stevenson. I checked Nimona out through my library and loved it! Great plot & themes, fun, with awesome illustrations. I also LOVE She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Netflix series by Noelle Stevenson.

6. Circe by Madeline Miller. I adored this historical fantasy. It gave me all the feels and I intend to add a physical copy to my personal library. My review at Goodreads.

5. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. Here is another one that I listened to on audio and was blown away. It is narrated by the incredible Steve West, and I can’t recommend it enough. I bought the finale, Muse of Nightmares, but checked this one out of the library and still need to get my own copy!

4. Spin the Dawn (The Blood of Stars #1) by Elizabeth Lim. I received an ARC of this book and would love to have a physical copy of it. I really enjoyed this story. What a gorgeous cover too. My review at Goodreads.

3. The Road to Nowhere trilogy by Meg Elison. These books are available on Kindle Unlimited, and I also received two of them through Netgalley previous to release date. I really want to get physical copies as well! This is a post-apocalyptic LGBTQ feminist story with each book following a different character in the same world that I really love.

2. By this time, I’m getting tired (blogging is hard), so I’m not going to add all the covers for this series, but I will say that I would very much like to have physical copies of the Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire. It’s very, very good, and the fifth book will be released in 2020!

And #1 is:

Sabriel (Abhorsen #1) by Garth Nix. This is another GREAT series on audio because it is narrated by the inimitable Tim Curry. My review at Goodreads.

I hope you enjoyed my list! Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments. I would love to read about what your picks would be! Happy reading, Shelly

Note: Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
